STOP MOTION MOON LANDING
Learning objective
Students will understand how Scientific knowledge is used to inform personal and community decisions, such as deciding to go to the moon and learn about our solar system.
Details of task
This activity i for year 5 students and to teach them about the moon and human endeavours in space. This activity allows students to make their own video of the moon landing. They must include factual information throughout the video and show the stages i getting to and landing on the moon. Show this video to the students so their curiosity can be sparked and they will be motivated and excited to create their own moon landing.
Expected areas of learning
Students will be doing science by learning about the moon, whilst integrating media through making their own stop motion video. They will also be doing visual arts by creating props for their video and music by including sound.
Assessment
Teachers can assess the students understanding of the moon landing and if they included accurate information and facts about it.
